LAVILLA TEAM BOSS SAYS SEASON STARTS AT VALENCIA

Gregorio Lavilla's Pro-Ride Honda team boss says the Spaniard will be on the grid at the first Valencian round, despite having to borrow chassis and suspension from a British Superbike team to test in Portimao recently.
The squad will not attend the first two fly-away rounds but will begin their World Superbike campaign at the Valencian round. This is, apparently, due to the loss of two sponsors - but they've still got a sunglasses sponsor, so that's alright then...

Marco Nicotari spoke with our colleagues at motogpmatters.com too, saying that they are in the same economic situation as everyone else and attending the Phillip Island and Qatar rounds doesn't make economic sense. He also said that not all of the riders entered in the full championship have confirmed their entry at the Australian round.
Sterilarda Ducati are only taking Shane Byrne and his bikes Down Under, and a question mark hangs over some of the smaller WSB teams as well even though it is known that promoters Infront (formerly FGSport) do subsidise flights.
