Former British Superbike Champion Gregoria Lavilla is rumoured to have been signed up to be part of a new, three-man World Superbike race direction team being created as part of a backroom shake-up by new owners Dorna.

The Spaniard, who has been working as a crew chief in the Avintia Blusens MotoGP CRT team, looks set to join the series next year as a replacement for Paolo Ciabatti who has moved back to Ducati from whence he came. It also appears that series media man Julian Thomas has also made the jump back to the Bologna factory.
