Former British Superbike star Dan Linfoot has completed a succesful shakedown test of the World Supersport Kawasaki he will race at Silverstone this weekend.
The Yorkshire toothpick rode his bike for the first time at Mallory Park yesterday in order to bed himself back in to riding a 600 for the first time in three years and says it went well.
"It was just a shakedown test to get used to the bike, to sort out all of the usual stuff like handlebar and peg positions but it was very positive. Of course, on a packed day at Mallory, you can't even begin to think about meaningful laptimes but we did some good work," said Linfoot, speaking to bikesportnews.com at Silverstone.
"I'm really looking forward to this weekend. I haven't been on a Supersport bike for a while but they suit me and I am almost thinking it might be better if it rained this weekend! Whichever it is, I'm happy to be with this team, it so well put together and I'm looking forward to a great weekend."
