Node4 Yamaha's Dan Linfoot will wildcard at the next World Supersport round in France just four days after making his British Superbike debut at Silverstone this weekend.
The Yorkshireman, who steps up to the big class to replace the injured Jon Kirkham, qualified in 23rd place yesterday but was only half a second slower than team-mates Chris Walker and Graeme Gowland in the first session.
"My aim for the weekend was to get as close to Chris and Graeme as I could. Before I was knocked out of the second part of qualifying yesterday, I was only half a second off them," said Linfoot, speaking to bikesportnews.com this morning, while being fed some gripewater.
"I have had some rear grip problems on the Superbike, especially on the exit, so I want to some different parts at Oulton see if that makes a difference.
"Magny-Cours next weekend should be really good. It will be like riding a toy after these things but it's a track I really like and I think I can go well there."
