The World Superbike riders are back at Jerez after a short winter break for a two-day test.

The 2025 World Superbike season is underway, sort of... all of the field, apart from Toprak Razgatlioglu and Iker Lecuona, are at Jerez for the first official test of the year. The test will run from 09:00 - 16:00 (GMT), and we will provide updates throughout the day

15:54 - As we near the end of Day Two it appears most teams are done for the day. Honda have packed up and called it a day, we do not expect much more track action.

15:50 - BMW have only had two riders on track today but have completed 137 laps and there is still over an hour remaining.

15:31 - Redding is the only rider out on track as it stands, he is clearly getting used to riding the Ducati in the wet.

15:19 - Track action has gone quiet this afternoon. Everyone is back in the pits, the weather really has played a big factor on todays running.

14:43 - We have a Jonathan Rea 1-2 again on the timesheets! The six-time Champion has set two lap times across two different bikes of 1:53.058 and 1:53.636.

14:24 - Vierge is up to second with a lap time of 1:53.746, Rea is now in first and third as he has improved his lap time on his second bike to a 1:53.801.

14:22 - We now have laptimes down into the 1:53's, Rea and Montella have taken control of the test. Rea has set a 1:53.058 lap time on his Yamaha R1.

14:20 - Montella is up to second place, 0.920 seconds behind Rea who still leads the way. The Italian has set a lap time of 1:53.978.

14:04 - What have we missed? Xavi Vierge has jumped up the order from ninth to second, the two BMW Test Riders have continued to steadily improve, and Scott Redding and completed seven laps.

12:57 - Well that was short lived... Xavi Fores is back in pit lane. The sole rider left out on track is BMW's Reiterberger.

12:51 - Xavi Fores is the latest rider to emerge out on track. The new Bimota Test Rider will begin his afternoon test schedule.

12:23 - The top five as it stands is: Jonathan Rea (2)(Yamaha), Jonathan Rea (Yamaha), Yari Montella (Ducati), Axel Bassani (Bimota), and Andrea Locatelli (Yamaha).

12:13 - After a pause in track action Locatelli is back out and looking to add to the 12 laps that he has completed today.

11:54 - The green flags are back out ahead of the end of Hour Three of Day Two in Jerez.

11:48 - We have our second red flag of the day as Bassani crashed at the last corner.

11:42 - There has not been many changes since our last update but the BMW Test Riders have been putting in work. Guintoli has completed 25 laps and Reiterberger has completed 21 so far.

11:25 - Rea is now first and second on the timesheets with lap times set using two different Yamaha R1's.

11:17 - Honda's Test is underway as Borja Gomez has completed his first lap of the day.

11:13 - Andrea Locatelli has been back out on track on his spare bike after crashing earlier on.

11:06 - We had a red flag at Jerez after Garrett Gerloff crashed on his 11th lap. The American is ok and track action is back underway.

10:55 - And just like that it has all gone quiet again. All the riders are back in the pits ahead of the end of Hour Two of Day Two at Jerez.

10:52 - There has been another change at the top as Rea shoots up the order into first place with a lap time of 1:54.433.

10:51 - Montella is now on top of the timesheets with a 1:54.998, the rookie is putting in some serious work this morning.

10:50 - We are no experts, but it looks pretty wet to us!

10:47 - Rea is now climbing up the timesheets as he has entered third place.

10:43 - Today's test is a real learning curve for Yari Montella. The rookie is into his second day on a Superbike and is having to deal with some really difficult conditions. The Italian is currently in second place.

10:38 - Bassani takes top spot with a 1:55.228, the times are falling but are still 18 seconds off of yesterday's times.

10:29 - The first rookie is on track as Yari Montella is out on his Barni Spark Ducati.

10:27 - Bimota have begun their day as Axel Bassani takes to the circuit and completes his first flying lap of the day.

10:24 - All riders are back in pitlane now after putting in some benchmark laptimes.

10:20 - The six-time World Champion, Jonathan Rea, is now on track to have a look at the conditions.

10:19 - Gerloff is up into second now with a 1:58.379 lap time. The lap times are still nowhere near where they were yesterday but riders are putting in the laps.

10:15 - Andrea Locatelli is our first faller of the day he crashed at Turn One as he started his third flying lap.

10:06 - Garrett Gerloff is now on track on his Kawasaki ZX-10RR, riders are now following the BMW test riders lead and are braving the conditions.

10:05 - The first full time World Superbike rider is out on track with Andrea Locatelli out on his Yamaha R1.

10:03 - Reiterberger and Guintoli are still on track and getting to work with sub two minute lap times.

09:57 - Reiterberger is on top of the timesheets with a lap time of 1:57.601, yesterday's best lap time in the dry was a 1:38.731.

09:55 - Rain is now falling at Jerez and both Reiterberger and Guintoli are back on track and have completed laps.

09:46 - Sylvain Guintoli is now braving the conditions... but just like Reiterberger he is back down pit lane before setting a lap time.

09:37 - It looks like track conditions still aren't quite good enough. Reiterberger is back in the pits without completing a lap.

09:34 - We have movement... Markus Reiterberger is the first rider out of the pits and onto the track.

09:30 - As it stands we are still without a registered lap time in the first half an hour of todays test.

09:10 - Track conditions are damp, so it is not dry or wet enough to collect useful data in. Expect riders to wait until more rain falls or the track drys out more.

09:02 - Don't expect too much early track action as rain fell overnight and the track is still damp. But we will keep you updated when riders start venturing out of the pits.

09:00 - We have a green flag in Jerez, Day Two of the World Superbike Test is underway!
