The final WorldSBK winter test of 2021 kicks off at Jerez this week with Alex Lowes in action for KRT.
The Kawasaki Racing Team is prepared for a thorough programme across the three days at the 4.4km Andalucian circuit while remaining aware of the limitations placed on the individual rider’s testing allowance.
While still focused on his rehabilitation from an injury-plagued season, the Brit - who is also awaiting the imminent arrival of twins - remains confident of securing the desired set-up to allow him to attack the new year to the best of his ability as he evaluates a raft of upgrades ahead of his 2022 campaign.
“Obviously this test is important to select the direction we need to go with our package for 2022,” Lowes confirmed. “Whilst I won’t be 100% fit yet, our performance isn’t our focus at this time.
“My crew chief Marcel, my electronics engineer Danilo and all the guys on the technical side have been working hard and have prepared lots of options for me to try. I am really excited to see what we can improve. If we get through all these items not only will it be a busy test but it will be job done - this is our only aim.”
