New World Supersport Champion Sam Lowes confirmed this morning he will join the Speed Up team to contest the Moto2 series next year.
The Derby rider, who sounded suspiciously un-hung-over when bikesportnews.com caught up with him, doesn't know all of the details as yet but is looking forward to the challenge.
"I will move into Moto2 with the Speed Up manufacturer but I'm not sure about what the structure will be. It's the best move in my opinion as I want to be in GP and being in that paddock is the best thing for me," said Lowes.
"It's still a 600cc bike, although technically different, you still have to ride it with a lot of corner speed so it should suit my style. It will be good to go there as World Supersport Champion because I will be able to hold my head high. It's a great motivation for me and I am really excited."
