MAGNY-COURS WSB: CAMIER HAPPY WITH DAY ONE

Current British Superbike Champion Leon Camier has said he is happy with his performance after his first ride on the factory Aprilia World Superbike at Magny-Cours today.

The Kent youngster managed to qualify in 17th place at the French track but is only 1.3s off the pace of pole man Michel Fabrizio, which is no mean feat as he hadn't ridden the bike before this morning's first free practice session.

“I’m very happy. At the beginning of this experience, I didn't know what to expect, given that I had never ridden the Aprilia, now I realize that the RSV4's potential is impressive," said Camier.

"We're working to find the best alignment for my riding style and I still need some time to improve my feeling with the bike and with the track, but I’m sure I’ll be able to do well this weekend.”
