MAGNY-COURS WSB: FABRIZIO LEADS INTO SUPERPOLE

Xerox Ducati's Michel Fabrizio set the quickest time in this morning's second World Superbike qualifying session at Magny Cours just ahead of Ben Spies and Noriyuki Haga who set the exact same lap time.

Fabrizio lapped in 1'38.349, four-tenths faster than the American and team-mate Haga, with seven minutes of the session remaining in what was a drama-free affair for the first two-thirds.

It wasn't until the final 12 minutes that lap times started to come down from yesterday with Haga taking top spot on a 1'38.726 and Spies right behind him on a 1'38.231.

A lap later, however, Spies matched Haga's time exactly while Ten Kate Honda's Jonathan Rea marginally improved on his time from yesterday, but slips to fourth.

A last-ditch lap from Stiggy Honda's Leon Haslam saw him hauled up to the head of the second row, deposing DFX Ducati's Fonsi Nieto to sixth with Troy Corser and Jakub Smrz in seventh and eighth.

After some fast laps, Sterilgarda Ducati's Shane Byrne finds himself in 10th place, a second off the pace while Tom Sykes is 14th, a further three tenths in arrears.

Newly-crowned British Superbike Champion Leon Camier has made it into Superpole, finshing the session in 16th place with a 1'39.797 lap.
