HM Plant Honda's Leon Haslam could well be on a plane to Magny Cours tonight to replace Ten Kate's Ryuichi Kiyonari who broke his collarbone in a crash on Friday.
Haslam, who romped to a four-second victory in Silverstone's second British Superbike race yesterday, is a favourite son of HRC and the race doesn't clash with the remaning BSB round at Brands. Haslam is also scheduled to take part in the last WSB round at Portimao with his UK Honda team.
Kiyonari's break is clean, similar to that of Nori Haga's earlier in the year at Misano, and Haga managed to go out in the second race. The crash was a monster highside out of the Adelaide hairpin towards the end of Friday's test and the Japanese rider was taken to hospital at nearby Nevers.
