Superpole three
Carlos Checa 1'58.315
Jakub Smrz 1'58.390
Marco Melandri 1'58.609
Althea Ducati's Carlos Checa took yet another World Superbike pole position at Miller Motorsport Park this evening but left it until his final lap to push the Liberty Ducati of Jakub Smrz into second while Eugene Laverty, on the works Yamaha, was pushed into fourth by team-mate Marco Melandri by the Italian's final circulation.
Sylvain Guintoli, on the second Liberty bike, lead the session early on but dropped down to fifth with Troy Corser sixth and Max Biaggi, who had a slow speed crash in turn six, sitting in seventh. Ayrton Badovini rounds out the second row.
Superpole two
Jakub Smrz 1'59.238
Carlos Checa 1'59.794
Eugene Laverty 1'59.799
Three Brits went out in the second session with BMW's Leon Haslam crashing unhurt at turn six. He re-mounted but couldn't get back to the pitlane in time. Alitalia Aprilia's Leon Camier was just behind the PBM Kawasaki of Tom Sykes in 10th but neither could find a lap to get into the top ten.
Smrz was more than half a second faster than everyone else and was also the first man into the 1'59s. Checa hauled himself out of the drop zone and then into second while Laverty left it until his last lap to put in a fast time.

Superpole one
Max Biaggi 2'00.814
Sylvain Guintoli 2'01.333
Eugene Laverty 2'01.555
Camier managed to highside himself off his RSV4 on his first flying lap but got back to the garage, mounted his number two bike and just squeezed into the second session with a lap that put him into 11th place and then he was bumped to 12th by Sykes
Camier's lap put both the Castrol Hondas into the drop zone and they went out, which makes a mess of their test time earlier this week. Corser set the early pace before Guintoli and Laverty put in their times and then Biaggi set two fastest laps in a row to take top spot.
