Althea Ducati's Carlos Checa has bagged provisional pole at Miller Motorsport Park this evening, lapping nearly a second faster than leading Brit Leon Camier with Max Biaggi and Tom Sykes in third and fourth places.

The Spaniard held on to his pace from the earlier free practice session as did Camier but PBM Kawasaki's Sykes upped his game from this morning to go over half a second faster while all around him couldn't.

Castrol Honda's Jonathan Rea is sixth fastest behind Troy Corser while Eugene Laverty is eighth. It hasn't been a good day for Leon Haslam in 16th while James Toseland is 18th.
