Iker Lecuona has been ruled unfit for the final race of the WorldSBK weekend at Misano after sustaining a hip and ankle injury in his race stopping collision with Danilo Petrucci.
The HRC Honda rider was disputing eighth place with the ex-MotoGP rider when they came together under braking for the Turn 8 left-hander.
With both riders evidently in some discomfort, the decision was taken to red flag the race - and ultimately declare the results.
With both riders taken to the medical centre for assessment, Lecuona has since been confirmed with a left hip injury and a left ankle contusion, ruling him out of Race 2 at the Italian venue.
There has been no communication as to the condition of Petrucci, who was a team-mate to Lecuona during his final full season in MotoGP at Tech 3 KTM.
