Parkalgar Honda's Sam Lowes has said he is confident of a World Supersport win in wet or dry conditions at Misano tomorrow after netting his debut pole position in the class.
Lowes' time from yesterday's qualifying session was good enough to take top spot as the second timed session today was wet and the Lincolnshire man says even though Broc Parkes matched his time in the dry final practice, he has something in hand.
"Today has been mega. We found a lot this morning with the set up of my Parkalgar Honda and only Broc Parkes was able to match my time - but I was on a well used tyre. I think I could have gone 0.750secs faster with the improvement we found - we tried a new shock mid session and instantly it was better," said Lowes.
"I can't wait for tomorrow, my bike's awesome. Even if it's wet for the race I can ride in the wet - I am very confident to be fighting for the win here, although I would prefer it to be dry."
