Misano WSBK: Laverty's chatter issues cured

Aprilia's Eugene Laverty has cured the chatter problems which have plagued his World Superbike season so far and will be able to concentrate on race setup when he rolls out on track in first free practice at Misano on Friday.

The Toomebridge man has bagged a couple of podiums already this season but has been fighting the high-frequency vibration which has caused him problems. He reckons the practice sessions at Miller was were where he found a cure but he wasn't satisfied with the fifth and sixth places it produced.

“We made big progress during practice at Miller and managed to cure the chatter issues which had plagued us all season. Unfortunately the races didn't go to plan and I wasn't satisfied with fifth and sixth-place finishes. My aim from here on in is to be on the podium as I feel that's where we belong. I feel at home on the Aprilia and it's time for the results to start reflecting that," said Laverty.
