Former British Superbike charger Loris Baz is in the frame to replace injured works Kawasaki star Joan Lascorz for this weekend's Monza World Superbike round.
Baz has tested the bike at Alcarras but it is not yet known whether his MRS Kawasaki Superstock 1000 squad will allow him to ride in three races on Sunday, preferring him to concentrate on the full support-class season.
Ex-Moto2 man Sergio Gadea has also been linked with the ride as has Pedercini Kawasaki's David Salom but it is reported he wasn't all that keen on the idea of stepping into Lascorz's shoes.
Whichever, the rules state Kawasaki have to field a brace of riders at this weekend's event.
