Parkalgar Honda's Sam Lowes says he is OK with a fifth place in Sunday's Monza World Supersport encounter, given he was riding with a badly-broken collarbone in intense heat.
The young Linconshire man was in a four-way dice for the final podium spot but just lost out to veteran Fabien Foret and was also pipped to the line by almost-equally-veteran Broc Parkes.
"That was a hard race in the heat and with my injured shoulder. I really wanted to finish the race and rode safely within myself - I am ok with fifth given my condition. My Parkalgar Honda was great and I am really looking forward to getting back to full fitness and challenging for the win at Misano next month," said Lowes.
