MUGGERIDGE TO RIDE FOR ALSTARE SUZUKI IN GERMANY

Australian Karl Muggeridge will leap off his HM Plant Honda British Superbike on Monday and get straight on to Max Neukirchner's Alstare Brux Suzuki at the Nurburgring for the German World Superbike round next weekend.

Muggeridge appears now to be the rider of choice after a pair of good performances at the Brands Hatch BSB round but Neukirchner aims to be back for a couple of rounds towards the end of the season, despite undergoing further surgery on his spine.

"The diagnosis of the MRT checkup was a shock first and not easy to digest. After intensive consultation with Dr. Kupfer we arrived at the conclusion that the surgical procedure is the best and only solution," said the German.

"The surgeries took about 90 minutes and proceeded perfectly. Afterwards I’m really glad that I have taken this step. Nevertheless, the most important thing is that the procedure has not delayed the healing process.

"The rehabilitation will have my full attention during the next weeks in order being able to do one race or two this year. The progress is unmistakable. I can intensify the training from day to day."
