Noyes to stand in for Morais at PTR Honda

American former Moto2 star Kenny Noyes will stand in for Sheridan Morais at the upcoming Russian World Supersport round to give the PTR Honda man more time to heal from his Assen free practice crash.

South African Morais crashed heavily in Holland and suffered soft tissue damage to his shoulder which doctors have said requires a two-month layoff. Sitting out the Moscow race will give Morais a month's rest to see how he the injury is repairing so Noyes will ride.

"I am just going to do my best and get used to the bike and track ASAP. The bike, track and team are all new to me. I rode at Silverstone last year in WSS on a different bike and got some time on the Pirelli tyres that were good. We will give it our best effort and see where we are after the practice and qualifying sessions; a top 10 finish for sure would be a goal," said Noyes.
