Pata Ducati have thrown British-based Sylvain Guintoli and will give him an 1198 to race at the Silverstone round the weekend after next.

Guintoli split with his Effenbert squad last Thursday after turning up to Brno only to find there was no bike for him to ride. Pata stepped in with their offer last night.

Guintoli Tweeted: "I will be back on the Ducati 1198 in Silverstone. Thanks to Team Pata & Ducati."
