Stiggy Honda's Leon Haslam will concentrate on the setup of the Marelli electronics package for at least the first day of the upcoming World Superbike tests ar Phillip Island.
The former HM Plant Honda rider, who flies to Australia on Saturday, reckons the team are only 50 per cent there on the electronics setup, so need to focus on it.
Writing in his exclusive bikesportnews.com column, Haslam said: "We have got a spend a lot of time on the electronics package. We have got it in the right area as we did some work on it at Cartagena but then we didn’t really do much with it at Portimao and left the settings are they were.
"We tried an awful lot of suspension settings and internals at Portimao, and we will do some more work on those. The base setup is about 80 per cent right. The engine is 60 per cent there, I think, with the electronics about 50 per cent there."
