Britain's Tommy Hill had a nightmare in Superpole one only getting in four laps after his engine exploded yesterday. Both BMWs were out with Troy Corser being nudged down to 17th by a quick lap from former works Ducati rider Regis Laconi. Corser seemed surprised that he hadn't made it and was complaining of chatter going over Lukey Heights. Roby Rolfo was also punted out.
