Alstare Ducati's Carlos Checa has been discharged from hospital after suffering nothing more than a concussion in the crash that halted his World Superbike opening weekend at Phillip Island.
The Spaniard ran into the back of Marco Melandri on the brakes into Honda corner in race one and, after being taken to the circuit medical centre, he was air-lifted to hospital in Melbourne.
Checa Tweeted this morning: "I recently left the hospital, was a severe concussion, I'll be fine."
