CIA Honda’s Jack Kennedy has been ruled out of this weekend’s Phillip Island World Supersport opener after circuit doctors refused to deem him fit enough to ride.
The young Irishman cracked the talus bone in his right leg on the first day of testing and despite having an operation to fix the injury, medics have said he cannot ride.
“I am gutted I cannot ride this weekend as I was prepared to give it a go. I think with the CIA Insurance Honda and the injury I could still have scored good points,” said Kennedy.
“But I respect the doctors and now I am putting all my energy into healing and will come out fighting at Aragon. Good luck to all three of the CIA Insurance backed lads in the race, I will be cheering them on.”
