World Superbike Evo class contender Sylvain Barrier and Michel Fabrizio have both been taken to hospital with suspected pelvic injuries following separate incidents on day one of the Phillip Island test.
The pair both crashed in the afternoon session and were transferred to hospital for further tests, checks and X-rays. We will bring you more on this when we have it.
BMW's Barrier and Iron Brain Kawasaki's Fabrizio were both tipped to be the men to watch in the Evo class in the current issue of Bikesport News. The Italian is the most experienced WSBK rider on the grid while Frenchman Barrier is a protege of former champ James Toseland.
