Phillip Island WSBK: Wildcard points haul for Gowland

Motorpoint British Supersport title contender Graeme Gowland bagged a brilliant seventh place in the Phillip Island World Supersport round and comes away with a hatful of of points from Australia.

The Smiths Triumph man took advantage of the five-lap sprint restart to charge through the pack on a bike which was in its domestic trim and against competition using full electronic aids, to finish just five seconds off the intense battle of the leaders, to record the best World Championship result of his career

"This has been a brilliant opportunity for me to familiarise myself with the Triumph 675R and the Smiths Racing Team. It's been a great experience for me and the team; we have achieved a lot and have been competitive. We are now looking forward to coming back home to start our testing plan and look forward to the opening round at Brands Hatch,” said Gowland.
