Pol Espargaro and his manager are in discussions with two manufacturers over a return to racing next season.
After taking a step back from racing into a Test Rider role at the end of the 2023 MotoGP season, Pol Espargaro is searching for a way back into full-time racing.
The Spanish rider has no future as a full-time rider in the MotoGP paddock, as all the seats are all but confirmed for the 2026 season.
However, he has switched his attention to the World Superbike paddock, where he had offered himself to the Aruba.it Racing - Ducati squad as a replacement for Alvaro Bautista.
But the factory Ducati squad instead decided on fellow Spaniard, Iker Lecuona, who they signed on a one-year deal to partner Nicolo Bulega.
It has been reported by GPOne.com that Espargaro and his manager, Albert Valera, have not given up hope of a full-time move to the World Superbike paddock.
This weekend, Espargaro will reportedly hold meetings with KTM in Catalunya to discuss his future with the Austrian manufacturer for 2026 and their ambitions for 2027.
At the same time, it has also been reported that the 34-year-old and his manager have been in discussions with the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team and Team HRC Honda.
According to GPOne.com, Valera has been testing the waters with BMW in recent weeks as the German manufacturer has not confirmed who will ride alongside Danilo Petrucci next season.
But he has also been working on trying to get Espargaro back in with Honda, as the Japanese manufacturer has not confirmed any riders for next season.
It is expected that Jake Dixon will be announced by the Team HRC Honda squad in the coming weeks, but Xavi Vierge's future is unknown, giving Espargaro the chance to return to Honda.
