Self-styled Roman Emperor Max Biaggi is disappointed with his performance at Portugal’s World Superbike tests this weekend and leaves the country injured after a crash in the final minutes.
Biaggi had hoped to make improvements to the new RSV4 Superbike but instead only found more small problems which his engineers need to solve.
"I came here confident of obtaining improvements over the last test," said Biaggi. "Unfortunately we have found other small problems that we hadn’t expected.
"We aren’t leaving with high morale but now our engineers were able to gather a large amount of information that will them to find new solutions to solve these problems. The last lap I had a bad fall but fortunately it wasn’t too bad and I’ve only got some bruises."
