Stiggy Honda's Leon Haslam has said that he has not been focusing on outright lap times over the first two days of the World Superbike test in Portimao.
The 2008 British Superbike runner up, who is thought to be riding a 2008 ex-Paul Bird Fireblade, has been concentrating on trying new parts and general setup.
"I'm happy with our progress over the two days. We have been testing a lot of new things on the bike and so far we have found a good base to work with," said Haslam.
"Lap times have not been our main focus up until now, but I'm already faster then the last time I raced here, so I guess that's already a good reference for us in terms of our potential! We have more work to do and tomorrow we'll carry on where we left off today."
