Aprilia have this morning announced that Eugene Laverty has signed a two-year deal to ride a factory RSV4 in World Superbikes. Details from the factory are sketchy and it is not known whether he will partner Max Biaggi as a replacement for Leon Camier or be in a satellite team with Biaggi running on his own. There was also no mention of current sponsor Alitalia.
