Provisional 2013 World Superbike calendar revealed

World Superbike bosses have this morning revealed the provisional 2013 calendar. There are no huge surprises bar the fact that Monza is retained despite a lot of riders believing it to be too dangerous and Portimao has been given a June slot (subject to contract) even though it is in financial dire straits.

Misano is not currently on the schedule. There is a space for the June 23 round but the Imola date follows it and the poorly-attended Miller Motorsport Park meeting has been axed. Brno is also missing and is far more likely to slot into the tbc date than Misano.

World Supersport will again travel to Moscow in July but miss out on the opportunity to race at the legendary Laguna Seca due to the fact there isn't enough paddock space to accommodate all the inevitable AMA support classes which bring the fans through the gate.
