Rumours currently flying around the Portimao World Superbike paddock put the final race of the season at Losail in Qatar will as a night race under floodlights.

Although, nothing has been confirmed it is believed the deal to run at night is 90 per cent done and will be the first time a WSBK race has been raced in artificial light. The contracts are due to be signed in the third week of July.

FIM bosses are also set to confirm the South African round at the same time. A safety delegation will fly to the Phakisa circuit on the way back from Laguna Seca for an inspection at the Welkom track.
