Riccardo Rossi will enter the World Supersport Championship next season on board a Ducati Panigale V2.
It has been confirmed by Renzi Corse that Riccardo Rossi will switch from the Grand Prix paddock to World Supersport next season.
After competing in the Moto3 World Championship for the past seven seasons, the Italian will move to pastures new for 2026 on board a Ducati Panigale V2, run by the Renzi Corse outfit.
After making 130 starts in Moto3, Rossi has two podiums to his name, but Renzi Corse will have high expectations after a strong end to the season with Valentin Debise, who claimed two race wins and three further podiums in 2025.
"I’m very happy to start this new adventure with Renzi Corse. Both the team and I have high expectations for 2026," Rossi said.
"I’ll be a rookie, but I believe the experience I’ve gained over the past few years will play in my favour. It will also be a big physical challenge, as the bike is more demanding than what I’m used to, but I’ll be working hard over the next few months to improve.
"My goal is to be competitive right from the start, following a steady path of growth together with the team."
Team Principal Stefano Renzi added: "After an intense and rewarding season, Team Renzi Corse has decided to continue the project by focusing on a very young rider.
"We are confident that Riccardo can become competitive in a short time: we have already seen in him great determination, professionalism, and a strong desire to prove himself.
"We are proud to welcome an Italian talent to our team and support him step by step; we will give our utmost effort to achieve the best possible results."
