Silverstone WSBK: Rea cagey over MotoGP future

Fresh from his Suzuka Eight-Hours triumph, Jonathan Rea has rolled into the Silverstone World Superbike round amid speculation he may be line for a MotoGP ride in 2013.

The young Irishman, still jubilant over the historic win, is cagey about the possibility of a move into the blue riband class but says whatever is in the pipeline will become clear within the next month.

"Winning Suzuka was unbelievable, the passion, the excitement of the event. Winning that race is a big deal for the Japanese. What will it do for me? I'm not saying anything but there is a lot going on and in three or four weeks it will become clear. My main focus is on here at Silverstone - I did OK in 2010 with a double podium and I hope to repeat that," said Rea, speaking to bikesportnews.com at Silverstone.
