Tarran Mackenzie will be able to participate in Race One at the Italian World Superbike Round.
At the end of the Superpole session at the Italian World Superbike Round, Tarran Mackenzie was hobbling away from the gravel trap after crashing out of the session.
The British rider went down at Turn Two with one minute left of the session and was taken to the Medical Centre for a check-up ahead of Race One on Saturday afternoon.
Mackenzie's trip to the Medical Centre was only short as he was declared fit for Race One and diagnosed with a bruised left foot.
The Petronas MIE Racing Honda rider ended the Superpole session in 22nd place and will start from the eighth row of the grid. Mackenzie's best lap time was a 1:29.878, which was 2.012 seconds slower than Nicolo Bulega's lap time.
After scoring points in all three races at the Dutch World Superbike Round last time out, Mackenzie would have been hoping for a productive weekend at Cremona.
However, it has been a difficult opening day and a half for the 2021 British Superbike Champion. In Free Practice One, he found himself in 22nd place, before ending Friday in 20th place in Free Practice Two.
Saturday did not start much better for the 29-year-old as he ended the final Free Practice session in 21st place ahead of Superpole.
