Kawasaki’s Jonathan Rea bagged his second World Superbike pole position in a row today in Thailand and believes a good start will be important as he says there could be fireworks throughout both races tomorrow.
The Isle of Man resident stole top spot by 0.011s from under the nose of former team-mate Leon Haslam at the death of Superpole but it enables the joint points leader to try and get away through turn one unhindered tomorrow.
“It’s important as turn one is very close to the startline, so it gives me the best possible chance to be clean through turn one and let’s hope we’ve done our work properly over the weekend,” said Rea.
"I think we have got a really good package for both races so we have to wait and see. I think it is going to be really close as the laptimes for first six riders are close, there could be fireworks all race.”
