Three-time World Superbike Champion, Troy Bayliss, was taken to the hospital with seven fractured ribs after a recent crash.
Troy Bayliss has shared a photo on his Instagram of the aftermath of a recent crash.
The 56-year-old had just recovered from a broken ankle and returned to track in recent weeks, but now has had to return to the hospital with new injuries.
Bayliss confirmed that in the crash, he fractured seven ribs, punctured a lung, and fractured one of his collarbones.
In the social media post that he shared, Bayliss said:
"Went for a spin in the meat wagon yesterday, thanks to the people who spotted me having a sleep on the track, 7 ribs, punctured lung and collarbone, and just beat up."
It is unclear what the three-time World Superbike Champion was riding at the time of his crash.
But in recent posts to his social media, he has shared photos of his Stark Future electric motocross bike. This appears to be what he has been up to since returning from his fractured ankle almost two weeks ago.
