VALENCIA WSB: BYRNE FIT TO RACE AFTER SUPERPOLE CRASH

Sterilgarda's Ducati's Shane Byrne has been declared fit to race tomorrow following a crash in the second Superpole stint where he looked to have injured his collarbone.

The reigning British Superbike Champion was spat off his bike when he got on the throttle too early coming out of a slow corner and got up clutching his right arm.

"Today almost everyting went smoothly, we've improved a lot and when I set my fastest time (1’34.7) I was almost sure I could lower it by a further second," said Byrne.

"Unfortunately, while I was exiting a slow corner, I accelerated a bit too early and I crashed without consequences. However, I'm confident for tomorrow's race as the boys have done a wonderful job and the I have a good feeling on the bike now."
