VALENCIA WSS: LAVERTY HAPPY DESPITE EARLY PACE

Parkalgar Honda's Eugene Laverty reckons he is happy with his mid-table position after today's first World Supersport practice session and has some ideas on how to fix the corner exit problem he is suffering.

The Toomebridge youngster finished today's session in 14th place, a little less than two seconds off the pace of Joan Lascorz but is confident that he will be on the front row come tomorrow.

“We are down the order but I am happy with my current position, we are not lost by any means. We need to make some chassis changes and we have a good idea what direction they need to go as it is to combat an issue we found during pre-season testing," said Laverty.

"My Parkalgar Honda is not finishing the longer corners as I want it too and we think we know how to fix that. Lascorz is riding well and will take some catching but I think we will be up on the front two rows tomorrow, hopefully the front row. We won’t be far away, that’s for sure.”
