Vote for your BSN British Rider of the Year

Despite no full-time rider on the MotoGP grid, 2022 continued to showcase British talent across both national and international championships.

Jonathan Rea was back on the hunt for his seventh WorldSBK title as the ‘Big Three’ continued to jostle for position, Bradley Ray wrapped up the Superbike celebrations on home soil against stiff competition from Glenn Irwin and Tommy Bridewell and Johnny Garness dominated in the British Talent Cup. Peter Hickman commanded the podium at the IOMTT with Irwin staking his claim for fastest newcomer while Michael Dunlop set the pace in Supersport.

A late season call-up saw Cal Crutchlow return to the premier class as a six-ride-sub for Yamaha while Jake Dixon proved his pole and podium potential across the year in Moto2. Scott Ogden secured his and his VisionTrack team’s debut front row start at a rain-struck Motegi while John McPhee bowed out after a decade in the lightweight class.
