'We assume Scott will not fulfil his contract' - MGM boss releases statement regarding Scott Redding

Gold & Goose

Michael Galinski has revealed that Scott Redding raced in BSB at Knockhill 'without consulting the team'.

Earlier in the week, it was announced that Scott Redding would end his time with MGM Bonovo and return full-time to the British Superbike paddock with Hager PBM Ducati.

However, this announcement has supposedly taken the MGM Bonovo team owner, Michael Galinski, by surprise.

In a statement that he released regarding the news, he suggests that the team were never aware that Redding would ride at Knockhill, let alone leave World Superbikes for the rest of 2025.

Gallinski said: "After Scott already raced in BSB at Knockhill without consulting our team, we now read in the media that he is 100% committed to the British Championship at Brands Hatch on the same weekend as WorldSBK. We naturally assume that Scott will not fulfil his contract with MGM."

He also confirmed that the German team will field a replacement rider for Balaton Park this weekend, as the team have brought in Tarran Mackenzie to compete at the Hungarian World Superbike Round.

"We want to give Tarran a chance to show what he can do," he added.

"We will then see how things develop in the future. As always, we will do our best and try to compete successfully in the next races until the end of the season."

Mackenzie has been on the sidelines since Misano, as he and the Petronas MIE Racing Honda squad parted ways ahead of the United Kingdom World Superbike Round.
