'We just keep having the same problems' - Camier

Alitalia Aprilia's Leon Camier sounds like a man who is looking for an answer but knows that if he finds it, it will more than likely be too late to save what could have been a World Superbike title challenging year.

Camier currently sits sixth in the championship points table, one place behind a rider who is equally called Leon and equally having as big a struggle as the 2009 British Superbike Champion - problems with electronics and grip being the main causes for their individual woes.

"We just seem to have the same problems wherever we go. In the second race at Silverstone, I had no grip from very early on so people could just roll past. I made a mistake that let Max through but there were no teams orders, I just messed it up," said Camier, speaking to bikesportnews.com this morning.

"We has really bad chatter on Friday which we sort of fixed by turning the engine braking right down. I qualified well but then a fly-by-wire sensor broke in race one when I was hauling Eugene in for second by about six-tenths per lap. I would love to know what's going wrong but no-one seems to be able to tell me.

'The bike is very sensitive to old tarmac, it doesn't like it, but sometimes it feels like it's me. But you don't turn into someone who can't ride or race overnight. It will be interesting to see what happens at Imola as I think that might be the same as Misano..."
