Weather causes problems at Aragon WSBK test

Some of World Superbike’s top riders were restricted to a handful of laps over the past two days at Motorland Aragon after rain and then low temperatures saw most remain in their garages until this afternoon.

Yesterday was completely rained off while today at the Spanish circuit, the track temperature didn’t get any higher than ten degrees which made life difficult for everyone concerned. Both Pata Honda riders eventually went out as did Kawasaki new-boy Jonathan Rea while team-mate Tom Sykes stayed in the warm. Rea said he made a step forward with the ZX-10R despite only managing 15 laps but we haven't weasled out of him yet what that is.

Kawasaki Racing Team, Pata Honda and Team Pedercini will return to the track on January 26-27 at Jerez for the last European pre-season test, while on Wednesday many other squads including the Red Devils Aprilia, the Aruba Ducati Superbike Team and Crescent Suzuki will begin a two-day test at Portimao.
