British Supersport front runner James Westmoreland has been granted a wildcard ride at the upcoming Donington Park World Supersport round at the end of June.

The youngster, who battled hard for a top spot at the last Thruxton round, is keen to prove the competitiveness of his JT Performance Triumph team and says the ride is an awesome opportunity.

"This is a massive opportunity for myself and the whole team to step up to the challenge of the world championship. It is no secret this is where I would like to see my career heading so to race with the best riders in the world would be a awesome opportunity," said Westmoreland.

"I know we have a very good package to have a good weekend. As much as I am looking forward to riding at this level I am very aware of how hard it will be, and my focus is on round five this weekend at Snetterton, then look forward to Donington and the world round."
