What are Jack Miller's World Superbike options for 2026?

Gold & Goose

Jack Miller has received no further update from Yamaha on his MotoGP future and could move on to World Superbikes in 2026.

After 11 years in the MotoGP World Championship, Jack Miller's time in the premier class could be coming to an end, and a new journey in World Superbikes could be beginning.

Ahead of this weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix, the Australian rider admitted that he has been 'more than patient' with Yamaha, who continue to delay their decision over Miller's future for 2026.

Miller joined the Japanese manufacturer in the Prima Pramac Racing squad at the start of the 2025 season on a one-year deal. However, after 13 race weekends, Yamaha has not offered Miller any updates on his future with the manufacturer.

If no update comes to Miller during the Hungarian Grand Prix, he has admitted that he will begin 'moving forward' with other opportunities for 2026. But reports from Sky Italia suggest that Miller is the favourite once again for the Prima Pramac Racing ride.

It does appear that the only other opportunities that Miller has for next season are from outside of the Grand Prix paddock and in World Superbikes.

But what are the other opportunities that Miller has on the table for next season?

ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team:

After recent events, Jack Miller has found himself at the top of the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team's wish list for the 2026 season.

The Australian rider could find himself back in a garage alongside his former Pramac Racing Ducati teammate Danilo Petrucci.

The factory BMW World Superbike team lost Toprak Razgatlioglu to Miller's current employers in MotoGP, and replaced the Turkish rider with the Italian. However, it now appears that BMW will also cut ties with Michael van der Mark after six years together.

If the Dutch rider does leave the German manufacturer, Miller is BMW's ideal replacement for van der Mark. However, they will only be able to offer him a one-year deal as they have not agreed on a deal to remain in World Superbikes beyond 2026.

Team HRC:

Jack Miller is not only at the top of BMW's wish list for the 2026 World Superbike season, but he has also found his way to the top of Honda's list as well.

The Japanese manufacturer is set to run an all-new rider line-up next season as they will replace Iker Lecuona and Xavi Vierge.

It has already been widely reported that Jake Dixon will replace Lecuona, who appears set to be on the move to the Aruba.it Racing - Ducati squad.

The 30-year-old Australian could become the perfect candidate to replace Xavi Vierge in the factory Honda squad, and would likely be offered a more lucrative two-year deal for 2026 and 2027.

Pata Maxus Yamaha WorldSBK Team:

There is still an available seat at the factory Yamaha World Superbike Team for next season, but Jack Miller's name has not come up as often as expected.

The Japanese manufacturer has been in contact with Miller's current MotoGP teammate, Miguel Oliveira, as well as Evan Bros Yamaha WorldSSP rider, Can Oncu.

Despite being the second Yamaha in the MotoGP World Championship and helping Yamaha to a second-place finish at the Suzuka 8 Hours, Miller appears to have no World Superbike future with the Japanese manufacturer.

Aruba.it Racing - Ducati:

Every year, Miller's name is mentioned when there is a vacant spot at the Ducati World Superbike team. However, this season, the Australian does not appear to have a chance.

Despite early interest from Gigi Dall'Igna, Miller is likely not an option anymore, as Iker Lecuona has received a one-year contract offer from the Italian manufacturer.

Ducati made it clear in the early stages of their search to replace Alvaro Bautista that they were on the hunt for a young rider to replace the aging two-time World Superbike Champion.
