HRC's WorldSBK boss Jaume 'Precious' Colom has revealed that a majority of the winter work will focus around data and electronics in order to get the Fireblade up to regular podium pace.
The Spaniard believes the engine is a strong point of the bike but some more needs to be done with the frame.
“The bike is completely new. Every day we have more information to maybe be able to correct things. The engine, for example, is very good. We need to improve some data and electrical systems that we have already. Also, in some circuits, we have some problems with the frame. We have different problems," said Colom.
“The team are very happy with this podium because they know we are in a good position. At the moment, we stay at the limit and when we pass the limit we crash. When we are pushing a little bit more, one lap is possible, but all race is difficult.”
"Obviously, we want to win. We need to work very hard but our target for next season is to battle for the top positions and, if it is possible, to win.”
