WorldSBK spec-tyre suppliers Pirelli will combine popular standard solutions with previously-used development options for the second visit to Motorland Aragon in as many weeks.
All riders will have available three front solutions and four rear solutions, both standard tyres on top of several development solutions already tried and tested.
For the front tyre, the three available solutions are made of two standard options and one development option. The standard SC1 represents the most successful tyre during the last round, while the standard SC2 is an evolution of the development SC2 X1071, used during the course of last year. The medium development solution SC2 X1118 will also be available.
At the rear, the riders have four options at their disposal. The first is the super soft standard SCX, successfully used in previous rounds in preparation for the qualifying lap, but also both in short and full races.
The second option, the soft standard SC0, is joined by the soft development solution SC0 Y0446, which has a more high performing compound, ideal in the event of particularly high asphalt temperatures.
The last option comprises the medium development solution SC1 Y0966, which has a softer compound than the standard SC1 and could be the ideal solution in case of particularly dirty asphalt conditions.
The last rear option is represented by the Superpole tyre which will allow the riders to make a quick lap during the Superpole session in search of the absolute best time to position themselves on the starting grid.
In the WorldSSP category, there will be four dry solutions available to the riders, two for the front and as many for the rear, all exclusively standard solutions.
For the front, riders will have a standard soft SC1 compound and a medium SC2 compound, which allows for more wear resistance than the first.
As for the rear, the riders will have at their disposal a standard SC0 soft compound, further improved to offer maximum performance, and a medium standard SC1 compound, designed to offer the right compromise between high, constant performance and limited wear.
