After a dramatic WorldSBK weekend at Magny-Cours, Aruba.it Ducati’s Alvaro Bautista has his sights firmly set on Barcelona success.
Two recent tests and previous podium celebrations at the Catalunya circuit have the Spaniard in good spirits ahead of 2022’s round eight as he puts the drama of France firmly in the past.
"I can't wait to race in Barcelona,” Bautista said. "I am very excited because this is a track that I like, on which I have done well in the past and where we had the chance to do two tests that gave us very positive indications.
“We have to work well from Friday and always stay focused so as not to make mistakes and in order to get the best result.”
Having clashed with title-rival Jonathan Rea during the final race in France last time out, the championship leader’s scathing views remain unchanged.
“The clash at Magny-Cours? After seeing the footage many times, my thoughts do not change and there is nothing more we can do about it,” he confirmed. I've already said what I had to say so now we just have to look ahead.”
