WSB GERMANY: DUCATI QUIET ON BAYLISS REPLACEMENT

Despite the myriad rumours about who will be stepping into Troy Bayliss' shoes at Xerox Ducati for the 2009 season, the factory team is remaning tight-lipped about who it is approaching, but has confirmed that Colin Edwards is on the shopping list.
Team manager Davide Tardozzi, himself a WSB winner in the past, will already be compiling a list of stars he will need to talk to and names like AMA champ Ben Spies keep turning up in converation. But the team will not give any further details.
A team spokesman said: "We are considering various riders for next season and nothing has been decided yet. Davide has mentioned Colin's name but has also mentioned several other riders, everything is still very much up in the air and no formal discussions have yet taken place."
