Luckless Tommy Hill has re-broken his right femur in a massive crash this afternoon at the Nurburgring. The World Superpsort rider was making his return to racing after suffering serious injuries in a winter testing crash where he broke his right leg.
Hill was nerfed off his Hanspree Altea Honda by errant wildcard rider Arne Tode as he barrelled into the tight first corner. Tode smashed into Craig Jones before hitting the back of Hill, causing a massive pile-up in the process. He had managed to make his way up to fifth from a second-row start.
Hill is now back in the UK and undergoing treatment by his specialist at Redhill Hospital.
